Deep Dive Dubai is the deepest swimming pool on Earth. It drops 60 metres down, holds 14 million litres of fresh water, and hides a whole sunken city under the surface: apartments, a library, a games room, even cars. It holds the Guinness World Record, and it sits right here in Dubai.
But here is the problem most visitors hit before they book. The prices are confusing. Every experience has its own starting price, the names sound similar, and it is easy to compare the wrong two numbers. This guide fixes that. Below are the real bookable prices, what each experience actually includes, the age and depth limits, and the rules that can quietly ruin your day if you miss them.
The short version: You do not need any certificate to try it. Snorkelling starts from AED 400, the Sunken City Walk is AED 600 and needs no swimming at all, a first scuba dive starts from AED 1,800 (maximum 12 metres, instructor beside you), and certified divers can book guided dives down to 60 metres from AED 1,800. Every visit is a booked time slot, so book ahead.

Deep Dive Dubai prices: every experience explained

If you have never dived before
- Snorkelling, from AED 400. You stay on the surface with a guide and look down into the sunken city. Minimum age 6, and you must be able to swim. This is the cheapest and easiest way to see the place, and a good family pick.
- Sunken City Walk, AED 600. You walk on a sidewalk 4 metres under the surface wearing a full-face mask, with an expert guide. One hour in total, about 20 minutes of it underwater. No swimming skills required, minimum age 10, premium equipment and a teaser video included. This is the best option if you cannot swim or feel nervous about diving.
- Scuba for kids, from AED 1,200. For ages 8 to 9, maximum depth 2 metres, with premium equipment and an instructor. A parent or legal guardian must be at the facility.
- First scuba dive (non-certified), Standard from AED 1,800, Premium from AED 2,400, Platinum from AED 3,000. No experience needed. You learn the basics, practise in shallow water, then explore the sunken city with your instructor, down to a maximum of 12 metres. Minimum age 10. Platinum is the private, three-hour version with a facility tour.
- First freediving (non-certified), Standard from AED 1,100, Private from AED 2,400, Platinum from AED 3,000. You learn basic freediving skills, then explore with your instructor. Standard and Private go to 5 metres; Platinum reaches 10 metres. Minimum age 13, and you must be able to swim.
If you are a certified diver
- Guided scuba: to 30 metres from AED 1,200, to 40 metres from AED 1,500, to 60 metres from AED 1,800. Your certification sets your depth limit. Dives past 40 metres need trimix certification, and the 60 metre dive needs proof of trimix certification to 60 metres.

- Courses: PADI Open Water Diver from AED 4,000, PADI Scuba Diver AED 2,500, PADI Advanced Open Water from AED 3,500, and an AIDA Level 1 freediving course from AED 2,000 for beginners. The facility is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre and a GUE Premium Dive Centre.

What the sunken city is actually like

The pool is built like a city that sank and was forgotten. You swim through a furnished apartment, past a library with real bookshelves, into a games room where visitors play foosball and pool underwater, and past cars, motorbikes, a pay phone and a park bench. There are 56 underwater cameras watching every level, and the top 20 metres can be seen from 12 large windows, so family who are not diving can watch you from the cafe on level B2.
Two honest notes. First, there are no fish and no marine life here. This is not an aquarium; the city itself is the attraction. Second, beginners only see the shallow part of the city. The deep levels, down to 60 metres, are for certified divers only, and your certificate decides how far down you go.
The rules that catch people out

- Book a slot, arrive early. Every experience runs on a booked session. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your slot, and fill in the medical and liability forms in advance.
- Bring ID, a swimsuit and slippers. Equipment, towels and toiletries are provided. You need a valid photo ID that matches the booking name.
- Do not plan the Burj Khalifa or a flight straight after. The official FAQ says that after any single recreational dive, “it is recommended to wait 12 hours before ascending higher than 300m/1000ft”, and it does not recommend going up the Burj Khalifa after diving (diving after a Burj visit is fine). Put Deep Dive Dubai early in your trip, not on your last day.
- Rescheduling is possible up to five days before your booked date. Tickets themselves are not refundable, so pick your date carefully.
- Health matters. If you have a listed medical condition, you may need a signed fitness declaration from your doctor. Check the list on the booking page honestly; the facility also has one of the region’s most advanced hyperbaric chambers with a doctor on call, which tells you how seriously they take safety.
How to reach Deep Dive Dubai

The facility is in Nad Al Sheba 1, inside the NAS Sports Complex, on the Meydan side of Dubai. There is no metro station next to it, so almost everyone comes by car or taxi; it is roughly 15 to 20 minutes from Downtown Dubai depending on traffic, and parking at the complex is free. If you are using public transport, third-party guides suggest a metro ride plus the F15 bus, but check the live route on the RTA app before you rely on it.
Who should skip it

Skip it if your group cannot swim and also dislikes the walk idea, if anyone is uncomfortable in deep water, or if your budget is tight and a full water park day would give your family more for the money. Also skip the deep dives if you only hold a basic certificate and were dreaming of the bottom: 60 metres needs serious trimix qualifications, and no ticket changes that.
